Men have health needs and concerns that are different from women. Men's health fitness information can help you get your life on a healthful track using nutrition, exercise and medical attention. Soon you'll be a role model of masculine healthful living.

Exercise

Exercise isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. Regular cardiovascular exercise can help keep your heart and lungs in top shape. This will lessen the risk of conditions such as heart disease, which has a higher incidence among men than among women, according to a study done by the University of Leicester.

Nutrition

You might be able to live off of hamburgers and soda as a kid, but adult men need to pay attention to a balanced diet. Hypertension, heart disease, certain forms of cancer and even impotence can result from improper attention to your daily diet. Eat right, including plenty of fruits and vegetables. Incorporate a multivitamin into your daily diet.

Diseases

Certain cancers are the exclusive domain of men, including testicular and prostate cancer. You might also worry about impotence and erectile dysfunction. Always talk openly and honestly with your doctor, and schedule regular visits. Many medical problems can be addressed if caught early enough.

Mental Health

Mental health among men often goes without discussion. Many men consider mental health problems to be unmanly or a sign of weakness. Perhaps this is why a New Zealand study found that men suffering from depression have a harder time functioning than women. Again, don't be afraid to discuss mental health problems with your primary care physician or to call on a mental health professional. Depression, anxiety and stress can all be treated.
