Focus contact lenses include the DAILIES line produced by Ciba Vision. DAILIES are disposable lenses designed to wear for one day. Focus contacts also are available in weekly or monthly disposable versions. The lenses are made with a moisturizing agent that's released slowly throughout the day for continuous comfort.

Ingredients

The Ciba Vision Focus lenses are made from 76 percent lotrafilcon and 24 percent water, report researchers at the Food and Drug Administration.

Effectiveness

The FDA found about 93 percent of the patients studied achieved at least a 20/25 level of corrected vision with Focus day and night lenses.

Types

There are three types of Focus DAILIES--sphere, toric and progressive. Sphere lenses are for most contact wearers, while the toric line serves those with astigmatism. Progressive Focus contact lenses have built-in gradations that serve those who require bifocal lenses.

Features

Focus lenses are created with a very light blue tint that can help users easily keep track of the lenses. While the tint is visible when out of the eye, it is so light that it doesn't change the eye color after inserted.

Options

Focus lenses also are available in a variety of colors that range from soft colors best suited for light eyes such as royal blue, aqua and evergreen.

Fluids

The moisturizing fluids are released every time the person wearing the contacts blinks.
