As the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council on America explains, the term "halal" refers to food that is permitted for consumption by Muslims. Although most foods are halal, a number of foods, including those with pork and those made from carnivorous animals, are not. The calorie content of halal foods can vary widely.

Vegetable Samosas

Samosas are pastries that may be stuffed with a variety of fillings, such as vegetables. According to LIVESTRONG.COM MyPlate, an 85 g serving of vegetable samosas provides 100 calories, with 2 g of fat, 20 g of carbohydrates and 3 g of protein.

Gyro Slices

Although many meat products are not halal, specially prepared gyro slices can be. Nutrition resource MyFitnessPal explains that a 91 g serving of halal gyro slices contains 300 calories, with 23 g of fat, 7 g of carbohydrates and 15 g of protein.

Beef Patties

According to LIVESTRONG.COM MyPlate, an 100 g halal beef patty contains 230 calories. These patties are high in fat, with 16 g of fat, 8 g of which is saturated fat. One beef patty also contains 16 g of protein and 4 g of carbohydrates.

Ground Turkey

The nutrition facts at MyFitnessPal note that a 4 oz serving of halal ground turkey contains 120 calories, with 5 g of fat, 23 g of protein and no carbohydrates.
