The Reebok RL900 elliptical machine is made for in-home use. It is not designed to be used in a commercial setting. The RL900 offers a total-body cardio workout with several intensity options. This is an older Reebok elliptical; it was produced around 2004. You cannot purchase this as a new product, although you may find used machines for sale by private owners.
Specifications
The Reebok RL900 is a rear-drive elliptical machine with upper body arms, providing you with a full-body workout. It offers two different ways to increase the intensity of your workout beyond pedal speed. The pedals have up to 12 levels of resistance; the higher the resistance, the harder you have to work to pedal. The RL900 also features an incline ramp with a range of 10 percent to 30 percent. This elliptical can handle user weights up to 350 lbs.
Features
If you want to check your heart rate during your workout, move your hands to the stationary handles near the console. Hold the pulse sensors for a few seconds and your heart rate appears on the display. The console has two cooling fans and two rows of quick-set buttons. The row on the left side of the console is for the incline ramp; the row on the right side is for the pedal resistance. With the press of a single button you can set the incline or pedal resistance. The incline ramp will take a few moments to move to the new setting.
Programs
The RL900 features eight built-in workout programs. The machine automatically adjusts the pedal resistance during your workout. It also prompts you to increase or decrease your pace. Two heart rate control programs allow you to select a specific target heart rate. The RL900 adjusts the intensity of your workout to maintain your heart rate at this target rate. You can also create two custom workouts and save the information in memory.
iFit Technology
The Reebok RL900 features iFit technology. Connect the elliptical to your computer or CD player. You download iFit workouts or purchase iFit CDs separately. Every workout includes a virtual personal trainer who guides you through each step of your workout. The elliptical automatically adjusts the pedal resistance and prompts you to increase or decrease your pace. Music is included to keep the energy of the workout high.
