ProForm 735CS Specs

The 735CS was one of a line of treadmills that ProForm sold through Sears department stores. ProForm originally made the model in 2000, but no longer produces it. Even though you cannot purchase the 735CS new, you may find used models for sale. The 735CS features a space saving design, iFit technology and preset workout programs.

Specifications

With a cushioned platform and a speed range of 0 to 10 mph, the 735CS is adequate for both walkers and joggers. It offers an automatic incline ramp with a range from 1 to 12 percent, in 0.5 percent increments. The maximum user's weight for the 735CS is 250 lbs.

Features

The console has four display windows that show information about your workout, including distance, laps, segment time, incline, calories, heart rate and speed. A lighted LED track provides visual feedback on your distance. Check your heart rate by grabbing the pulse sensors on the front handlebar. The user's manual recommends you step off the moving tread onto the foot rails before checking your heart rate. The 735CS folds up into a vertical position so you can move it to a storage area or a different room.

Programs

The 735CS features six built-in personal trainer programs. Choose any of these programs and the treadmill automatically adjusts the speed and incline settings throughout the workout. Another program option is the included iFit technology. Connect the 735CS to your stereo, CD player or computer. Purchase iFit workout CDs separately; each CD contains two workouts. A virtual personal trainer instructs you through the workout as the treadmill automatically changes the intensity settings for you. You can also download programs from the iFit.com website, but this requires a module upgrade to the 735CS treadmill.

Maintenance

Performing minor maintenance on your 735CS will keep it running smoothly. The belt is prelubricated and does not require any further lubrication, but you will need to routinely adjust the tension of the belt. If the belt slips, hesitates or shifts, adjust it according to the directions in the user's manual. The manual also provides information on how to calibrate the incline if it stops working properly. ProForm recommends checking the bolts and nuts after every workout to ensure they are tight.
