Rolo, the milk chocolate-covered caramel candy, is manufactured by the long-established candymaker, The Hershey Company. Although many enjoy the taste, this candy provides a significant amount of calories, sugar and fat per serving. Because of this, it is important to only consume this candy as a special treat, as eating too much may result in unwanted weight gain.

Serving Size

Most Rolo candies are sold in one-serving, roll-shaped packages containing seven pieces of candy. Each serving is approximately 48 g, according to the official Hershey’s website. Some stores, however, sell bags of individually-wrapped Rolo candies. The 12 oz. bag lists seven pieces as the recommended serving size, which is the same amount of candy as in the roll.

Each roll of Rolo candies contains 220 calories, 80 of which come from fat. It contains 10 g of total fat, 7 g of saturated fat and 5 mg of cholesterol per roll. There are also 2 g of protein in each roll.

One roll of Rolo chocolate-covered caramels contain 33 g of total carbohydrate, 29 g of which come from sugars. Each roll provides you with approximately 11 percent of your recommended daily value of total carbohydrate, based on a 2,000-calorie diet.
