Universal Nutrition is a company that makes a variety of over-the-counter sports nutrition supplements, particularly for weightlifting. Many of its products are designed to be used together or stacked for optimum effectiveness. Animal Pak is considered a foundation supplement that fills any nutritional gaps so the body operates optimally, enabling the other products to work effectively.

Indications

Animal Pak is primarily intended for athletes and bodybuilders looking to build bigger muscles. In particular, Universal Nutrition recommends Animal Pak for competitive strength and power athletes, high-intensity training and any athlete looking to maximize performance. Animal Pak is formulated to be a nutritional foundation supplement, and other Animal products are built around it.

Ingredients

Animal Pak is a significant source of vitamins and minerals and also contains a vast blend of complexes. It contains vitamins A, C, D and E as well as all the B-complex vitamins. As for minerals, Animal Pak contains calcium, phosphorous, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium and potassium, according to the website animalpak.com. Each serving of Animal Pak contains an amino acid complex providing 19 amino acids as well as a performance complex containing several important nutrients, herbal extracts and vitamins. Animal Pak is also made of a blend of ingredients that make up the antioxidant complex and digestive enzyme complex.

How it Works

Animal Pak helps stimulate enhanced muscle gains through high doses of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The vitamins and minerals help fill any nutritional gaps in an individual's diet to help the body operate optimally as well as to enhance the effectiveness of the other ingredients, according to Universal Nutrition. It also contains amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins and thus new muscles. In addition, Animal Pak contains performance-optimizing and energy-boosting ingredients along with a variety of herbal ingredients containing antioxidant properties that help protect the body from free radical or chemical reaction by-product damage as well as shorten muscle recovery time between workouts.

Dosage and Administration

Animal Pak comes in packs, which contains several different capsules to provide the respective nutrients. A single serving is two packs with 22 servings per container. According to SupplementAnalysis, each pack of Animal Pak contains 11 tablets. Universal Nutrition recommends one pack per day during the off-season and two packs per day for a pre-contest diet or for intense training.

Precautions

Animal Pak is specifically designed with bodybuilders and advanced athletes in mind and may not be suitable for individuals who do not fit into this category or who are under the age of 18. It is important to speak with a doctor before using Animal Pak to avoid complications. Individuals may be allergic to some ingredients in Animal Pak and should stop taking the supplement and call a doctor if they develop symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as hives and rashes, itching, difficulty breathing, coughing or swelling of the face, eyes or tongue.
