The Impex MP 3500 is a multi-station home gym. You have to assemble this product after purchase. The MP 3500 features one weight stack that attaches to several exercise stations via a complex pulley system. You can do a full-body strength routine on this one multi-gym that fits in a 7-by-5-feet area.
Stations
You can perform dozens of exercises on the seven exercise stations of the MP 3500. The upright bench area has a press station, leg extension station, butterfly station and an abdominal crunch station. The leg-thigh station on the side of the MP 3500 features a rotating cam arm so you can do several exercises for your thighs and glutes. High and low cable stations offer several more exercise options.
Exercises
The dual-function press arms can be used for a bench press, incline bench press and seated shoulder press. Perform seated cable crunches and seated twist cable crunches to work your main and side abdominal muscles. At the leg-thigh station, you can do leg curls, knee raises, leg kick backs and hip abduction/adduction exercises. The high and low cables allow you to do an almost limitless number of exercises, such as tricep press downs, upright rows, shoulder raises and bicep curls.
Features
The MP 3500 features a 150-lb. vinyl weight stack. However, the pulley and cable system changes the actual resistance of an exercise. The weight you select on the weight stack will not necessarily be the actual resistance on the exercise. The MP 3500 owner's manual has a weight resistance chart. Select the exercise station and the weight plate and the chart provides the actual resistance for that exercise. The MP 3500 includes several accessories you can attach to the high or low pulley. The lat bar, shiver bar, single handle and ankle strap attachments allow you to do dozens of exercise variations.
