Looking for a quick and easy way to eliminate the toxins built up in your body? There are numerous foot patches on the market claiming to eliminate harmful toxins from the body while you sleep, but buyers beware, there is no clinical research to show the effectiveness of these products.

Nutriworks

The Nutriworks company was started in 2000 and is based in Hong Kong. The company develops supplements and health care products. With leading market share in Asia, the company has begun to expand to the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore.

Patch It

The Nutriworks detoxifying foot patch is called Patch It. This patch purportedly combines detoxification, aromatherapy, reflexology and crystal therapy. Made in Korea, it contains a blend of tourmaline, vinegar, mandarin wood and green tea. The patch is used by placing the adhesive pad to the bottom of the foot before bed time. The patch is worn for three consecutive nights, then only about once a week.

Claims

While none of the statements made by Patch It have been evaluated by the FDA, the product claims to be able to help a large variety of problems. The first claim is that Patch It relieves muscle aches and pains that are associated with work and exercise, to give long, restful sleep. The second claim is that the patch utilizes reflexology to stimulate body and organ function. This stimulation purportedly reduces the effects of arthritis, bloating, goat and edema.

Detoxification

Nutriworks developed the patch to bring balance to the body due to the overwhelming amount of toxins the body encounters daily. Removing these toxins allows the body to achieve balance. The ingredients used in the patch are pulverized for maximum utilization and the blend is designed to clear all of the body's channels and promote internal cleansing. The company claims that none of the ingredients in the patch can be absorbed by the body. The vinegar in the product is used to draw out the impurities in the body.

Considerations

It is important to contact a physician before using any detoxifying product. This product should never be used on open wounds and can cause dermatological problems. This product should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
