It is often difficult to find the energy for a good workout at the gym after a hard day's work and still keep up with family and friends. Snacks and energy bars give you the lift you need to work out, but they can add excess calories or unwanted additives and do not replace fluids lost during intense aerobic exercise. Redline is a thermogenic energy drink manufactured by VPX.

Action

"Thermogenic" means it works by producing heat to stimulate your metabolism. The manufacturer claims this drink promotes a shivering process that burns fat. It also causes the user to sweat, a process the manufacturer states will burn even more fat.

Caffeine

Redline energy drinks contain substantial amounts of caffeine. One serving of Redline Power Rush has the same caffeine as about 10 servings of Coca-Cola, according to a report published by Johns Hopkins Medicine. Redline energy drinks do not contain fruit juice.

Flavors

Redline energy drinks come in several flavors, including strawberry lemonade, grape, watermelon kiwi, triple berry, mandarin orange and peach mango.

Availability

Redline energy drink is marketed towards fitness enthusiasts and is available in gyms and fitness centers, as well as traditional outlets. You can order Redline energy drink online, either directly from the manufacturer or through other sources like Amazon or eBay. Redline energy drink is not intended for people under the age of 18, so some brick-and-mortar stores may require proof of age before purchasing this product.

Restrictions

Redline Energy Drinks are not meant for children. Women who are nursing or pregnant should not consume this product. People with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems or a family history of these medical conditions should not use Redline Energy Drinks. Do not drink Redline energy drink if you are taking MOAIs or other dietary supplements. Those who are more than 15 lbs. overweight should not consume Redline. If you are taking over-the-counter medicines, including cough and cold products, weight-loss medicines or allergy medications containing ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or phenylpropanolamine, you should avoid consuming Redline energy drink.

Dose

One 8-oz. bottle contains two doses. The manufacturer of Redline energy drinks suggests a first-time user consume one-quarter of a bottle until he learns if his body can tolerate it. Never exceed the recommended quantity of 4 oz. per serving and two servings per day, as it may increase your risk for adverse health effects.

Side Effects

The caffeine in Redline energy drinks may cause nervousness, irritability and sleeplessness. Redline may cause a rapid heartbeat.
