According to Saga, only 6 percent of men prefer a woman who uses Botox. Without going under the knife or receiving injections, exercises are the way to defeat wrinkles. Wrinkles often appear in our neck due to flabby muscles. However, a few exercises can help reduce those wrinkles and make you look younger within a few weeks, says Annelise Hagen in "Yoga Face: Eliminate Wrinkles with the Ultimate Natural Facelift."
Neck Stretch
Natural-Home Remedies reports that one way to reduce wrinkles and tone the neck muscles is a simple neck stretch. Begin by sitting up straight with good posture. Next, move your head to the left and hold for 30 seconds. Alternate to the right and hold for another 30 seconds. It is best to perform this exercise for a minute and a half, three times a day.
Chin Lift
First, lift your chin in front of the mirror, and then put your hands around your throat. While lifting your jaw, allow your fingers to push your jaw forward. Saga reports this creates more of a noticeable stretch in your neck muscles, and builds tighter muscles.
Clock Movement Exercises
While sitting in an upright position, begin to move your head slowly in a circle. First move it to the left and then alternate and move it to the right. Perform two sets for 30 seconds, two times a day. This exercise may make you dizzy, so perform in a safe environment.
Forward Resistance
According to the University of Maryland, there are a couple of exercises that provide resistance with your hands so you can more effectively stretch the muscles in your neck. One is placing your hands on your forehead and then attempting to move your head forward. With resistance, the head should not move very far. This can be done about 30 times a day, in repetitions of 10.
Backward Resistance
The opposite of forward resistance, backward resistance requires that your hands be placed behind your head, while you attempt to move your hands back, according to the University of Maryland. The resistance caused by the hand placement allows your neck muscles to strengthen, which leads to fewer wrinkles. You should hold this position for five seconds, about 30 times a day.
