Workouts That Help Smooth Out Cellulite

Dimpled, orange peel skin is listed by many women as among their greatest beauty concerns. Nothing, from creams to surgery to diet can completely rid you of cellulite, but regular workouts can firm the muscles beneath the skin. This will pull your dermis tighter over the skin, making it appear firmer.

Cellulite occurs when the collagen under the skin on the thighs and buttocks is uneven. The greatest factor in determining if you will suffer from the condition is, unfortunately, genetics. If the older women in your family have "orange peel" thighs, you will likely have them as well. According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition poses no health threats. The only reason to take action against your cellulite is if its appearance bothers you.

The workout, which is available online, is five classic exercises tweaked to tone the thighs and butt.Traditional gym moves, like mountain climbers, have been modified to target the areas where cellulite most often appears. Perform the workout three times per week to see results.

According to this magazine's online workout article, exercise is one of the best ways to improve the look of your bottom and thighs. The editors suggest a mix of strength training, for improving muscle tone, and cardiovascular activity for calorie-burning and fat-reduction. The workout is designed to take only 30 minutes and features moves that require free weights, a resistance band and an exercise step. Fitness advises you to do all the exercises in the series in quick succession before stopping for a break. Again, this magazine is proposing a mix of classic exercises to improve your cellulite. Dead lifts, calf raises and lunges are included in the program.

Results

The majority of women fight against cellulite and the dimpled skin that results from having the condition. Nothing can rid you of cellulite forever, but workouts can help keep you at your firmest. Look for results after several weeks of performing your routine and continue the workouts to continue seeing a firmer lower half.
