The Ironman Triathlon Heart Rate Monitor is a Timex product and is used primarily by athletes. It is water-resistant, has two time zones and an alarm. It features a white reflector screen and an "Indiglo" night-light. The Timex Ironman Triathlon can keep a chronograph-training log, which holds up to 150 laps. To ready it for use, you will need to know how to set-up its settings.
Setting
Step 1
Push the "Mode" button. It is located on the lower-left rim of the watch. Wait until the clock display shows up. Use the "Stop/Reset" or "Start/Lap" buttons to scroll through time zones availabilities. Choose your time zone and confirm by pressing the "Mode" button. Use the "Stop/Reset" or "Start/Lap" buttons to see the hour and minute settings.
Step 2
Choose the hour and press the "Mode" button to finalize your choice. Press either buttons again to adjust the seconds to zero and use the "Mode" button to continue. Use the "Stop/Release," "Start/Lap," and "Mode" buttons to situate the day of the week, month and the calendar date.
Step 3
Choose "On" for the hourly chime if you want to hear a beep every hour and for the watch to beep if you press any button. To alternate through time zone options, press the "Mode" button. Use either the "Stop/Reset" and "Start/Lap" buttons. To save your settings, push the "Set" button.
Set Chronograph
Step 1
Hold the "Mode" button until you see "Chrono" on the watch's display. Press down the "Set/Recall" button until you see "Format/Set." Push the "Stop/Reset" button to choose lap times or split time. To finalize your option, press the "Set/Recall" button.
Step 2
Hold down the "Start/Split" button to activate the chronograph timer while in chronograph mode. Start your workout. When you finish push the "Start/Split" button to reset the chronograph. Use the "Stop/Reset" button to stop the chronograph.
Step 3
Press the "Set/Recall" button to access your lap times from your former workout. To cycle through your lap times, press the "Sop/Reset" button. To return to the chronograph screen, hold down the "Set/Recall" button. To erase your previous chronograph information, hold down the "Stop/Reset" button.
Alarm
Step 1
Press the "Mode" button continually until your alarm slot appears on the screen. Depress the "Set/Recall" button, and use either "Stop/Reset" or "Start/Lap" buttons to set the alarm hour.
Step 2
Press the "Mode" buttons to set the minutes and the a.m. or p.m. stats. Use either the "Stop/Reset" or "Stop/Lap" buttons to select daily, weekday or weekend alarms.
Step 3
Press the "Set" button to keep your settings. Press the "Stop/Reset" or "Start/Lap" buttons to start and stop your alarm. Hold the "Indiglo" button to stop the alarm while it is beeping.
