NordicTrack is best known for its skiers. Edward Pauls developed the NordicTrack skier in 1975. He lived in Minnesota and wanted to create an indoor cross-country ski machine. The Pro skier is one of the first skiers, and was made of oak and steel. This skier is no longer produced, but you can find used and refurbished units. The Pro skier includes an electronic speedometer/chronometer. A few buttons provide information about the time, distance and speed of your workout.
