If you are using a Fitline treadmill, calibrating it will allow you to register the incline and speed of your treadmill monitor. People generally assume that calibrating a Fitline treadmill after installation is required, but you should also re-calibrate your treadmill from time to time as well. Sometimes, just moving the treadmill around can cause your systems to become loose, and you will have to reset the calibration in order to obtain the readings correctly.

Step 1

Plug in your treadmill and simultaneously hold down the stop and increase speed buttons. Insert the safety key into the keyhole, which is located on the console, and release the stop and increase speed buttons.

Step 2

Press the stop button once to access the level two automatic calibration setting, and press the increase speed button until the treadmill speed increases to around 80 percent of the motor usage.

Step 3

Set the speed to 80 percent so that it matches the motor speed.

Step 4

Press the enter button to finish calibration and turn the treadmill off again.

Step 5

Press and hold the two incline buttons on your console. Wait until the display reads "calibration" and press the start button.

Step 6

Wait between five to 10 minutes while the unit automatically increases and decreases speed. When the until is finished, the display will read "calibration successful."

Step 7

Remove the activator key and restart your treadmill.
