Atomic is a ski manufacturing company located in Salzburg, Austria, and is a subsidiary of the Finnish company Amer Sports. Atomic has been making skis and ski accessories since 1955, and is often the official outfitter of the Austrian ski team. Atomic's equipment, especially its skis, are often worn by a variety of World Cup skiers.
Atomic Alpine Skis
Atomic features a large variety of alpine skis. Ski designs include powder, all-mountain, park and pipe, groomers, back-country and race. The type of Atomic alpine skis best suited for you depends on the type of skiing you prefer and which kind of terrain you like to ski on. All-mountain skis are perhaps the most popular and versatile, as their design is ideal for all levels of mountain skiing. For the more advanced and adventures skier, the back-country and groomer ski designs provide the type of support and features needed to maneuver challenging terrain.
Atomic Alpine Ski Boots
Atomic offers four different lines of all-mountain ski boots, and one line for the free-ski, race and race FIS categories. Free-ski boots improve the edge grip of wider skis and allow for a greater range of movement while maintaining stability. All-mountain ski boots can be adjusted around the ankle, forefoot area and tongue individually, giving the skier greater control over comfort. Race boots are designed for performance and have low-profile alloy buckles to avoid gates from getting caught.
Atomic Nordic Skis
Atomic features three different Nordic ski lines. The skate, classic and touring skis are all lightweight and aim to glide smooth and effortlessly. The touring skis are for recreational Nordic skiers who want to enjoy the back-country while gliding and climbing. The classic and skate lines feature special Atomic ski technology to make skis especially light, with the lightest ski weighing only 500 g. The ski material's elasticity allows for the skier to produce powerful kicks, and it adapts to terrain for smooth gliding.
Atomic Accessories
Atomic offers an array of accessories such as poles and bags. Some bags are specifically designed to fit race skis. Backpacks and sports bags are also available, as well as bags to be worn while skiing back-country. Alpine ski pole choices range from junior and women's to nomad and race bend styles. Additionally, Atomic offers four different types of Nordic poles made from either carbon, aluminum or a composite. Various bindings for specialized boots are also available.
