About Victoria Principal
Born in Fukuoka, Japan to a military family on January 3, 1950, actress Victoria Principal has lived in Great Britain, Puerto Rico and various parts of the United States. After an automobile accident curtailed her studies with the Royal Academy of Ballet, Principal switched her focus to acting. She's starred in many made-for-television movies and prime-time series; however, she's best remembered for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing in the nighttime soap opera "Dallas," which aired from 1978 to 1987. During the 1980s, she released three diet and beauty books. In the late 1980s, Principal again changed directions, working with skin care experts to develop products for sensitive skin. In 1991, Principal Secret was made available to the consumer market.

About Argireline
Argireline is one ingredient in Principal Secret that purportedly gives it wrinkle-fighting properties. According to a June 2004 article in "The New York Times," Argireline is a short-chain peptide that strives to give you results similar to that of Botulinum toxin injections, or Botox. While injections temporary sever the connection between nerves and the muscles in your face to give you a smoother countenance, Argireline in anti-aging creams doesn't penetrate your skin deep enough to create the same effect. However, Argireline may encourage new skin growth.
