Sunflower seeds are packed with vitamins and minerals. The sunflower seed is also an excellent source of essential nutrients and are high in fiber.

Harvesting the Seeds

For commercial sale, the sunflower seed is extracted from the giant sunflower plant, dried in the shell, then roasted and salted. Some manufacturers may take the kernel out of the shell before packaging.
