Nike is one of the leading golf ball manufacturers for the PGA Tour and for recreational golfers. Nike's premium balls are played by major championship winners such as Tiger Woods, Lucas Glover and Stewart Cink. Nike offers a variety of different balls aimed to accommodate players with different needs, skill levels and budgets. Whether you are a scratch player with a 110 mph swing or a weekend golfer with an 80 mph swing, there is a Nike ball to suit your game.

Nike One Tour

The Nike One range of golf balls all feature Nike's innovative Power Transfer Layer, an advanced polymer that improves energy transfer, increasing ball speed and forgiveness. The Nike One Tour is a 4-piece ball designed for faster swing speeds. It provides distance as well as control around the greens. It is the softest of the Nike One range. The Nike One Tour D is designed for moderate to fast swing speeds. It has a slightly lower compression, lower spin rates and a firmer feel. The differences in performance are small, but are relevant to the skilled players for whom the balls are designed. Both balls received a silver rating in the 2010 Golf Digest Equipment Hot List. The One Tour and One Tour D retail at about $58 per dozen as of December 2010.

Nike One Vapor

The Nike One Vapor is a high performance, 3-piece ball designed for average swing speeds. Because of its medium compression, the Nike One Vapor offers increased distance. While the spin rate with the short irons is lower, it still offers a great deal of greenside control. The 3-piece Nike One Vapor Speed offers even greater benefits in terms of distance. The ball received a gold star rating in the 2010 Golf Digest Equipment Hot List because of its benefits for the "average" golfer. The ball's low compression increases speed and results in longer carry distance. Both the Nike One Vapor and Vapor Speed retails at $40 per dozen as of December 2010.

Nike Crush

The Nike Crush is a 2-piece ball designed purely for distance. The "high-energy" core creates high ball speeds and low spin rates. The low spin rate helps you hit the ball straighter off the tee but reduces control around the greens. The ball is ideal for golfers with moderate swing speeds -- between 80 and 95 mph -- and who aren't too concerned with how it performs with their wedges. The Nike Crush retails at $30 per dozen as of December 2010.

Karma

The Nike Karma is a ladies golf ball, designed to increase carry distance for women with slow swing speeds. The 2-piece ball features a very low compression that helps increase ball speed. The Karma also has an aerodynamic 312 dimple design that helps to create lift. As well as its distance qualities, the thin ionomer cover provides soft feel on shorter shots. The Nike Karma retails at $30 per dozen as of December 2010.
