An Air Walker is a cross trainer exercise machine that helps you work out your upper and lower body at the same time, and is suitable for both experienced and mid-level athletes. However, the Air Walker is also great even if you are just starting out with your training. This exercise machine offers a low-intensity, low-impact cardiovascular workout that can help you tone your entire body and lose weight at the same time.

Step 1

Grab the handrails and step on the foot rests one at a time. Turn the monitor on to keep track of your stride rate, heart rate, calories burnt and workout time.

Step 2

Start striding, but continue to hold on to the handrails.

Step 3

Let go of the handrails and grab the moving handles once you are comfortably balanced. Doing this will increase your heart rate, as your heart will need to pump harder to move blood into your legs and arms. This will also help you work on your core muscles.

Step 4

Set a time that you feel comfortable with, and stride for that specified amount. When the time is up, start slowing down. Continue cooling down until you have achieved a level of easy breathing.

Step 5

Grab the handrails and slow to a stop. Get off the machine one foot at a time, and turn off the monitor.

Tips and Warnings

  • Stretch your legs and gluts for about five minutes after your workout.
  • Drink plenty of water during and after your workout to avoid dehydration.
