Professional life and business coaches are one of the fastest growing career paths, says MSN Money Central. Fast Track Coach Training, a company owned by professional life coaches and mentors, claims to train you to successfully coach individuals and businesses on how to bring their health, prosperity and personal goals to fruition under your skilled direction, according to the company's website. Fast Track's program offers introductory instruction as well as advanced training for seasoned life coaches and mentors.

Identification

Fast Track Coach Training is an independently owned professional life coach training organization that operates out of the U.S. Two professional life coaches -- Susan Sussmam, M.Ed. of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, and Sheila Kutner of Haverton, Pennsylvania -- oversee the online program that you can take at specified times throughout the year. Fast Track Coach Training is accredited through the International Coaching Federation, a global professional life coach association with more than 17,000 personal and business members, according to the FastTrackCoachAcademy.com.

Program

Fast Track Coach Training operates on the ICF's 11 professional and ethical guidelines for preparing you to effectively gain or enhance your life coach capabilities, according to the company's website. These ICF guidelines include establishing the initial coaching agreement, building client intimacy and trust, active listening, client planning and goal setting, and creating a sense of self-awareness within your client. Fast Track Coach Training also teaches you how to ask your clients compelling questions that help them better analyze their current situations, how to monitor and manage your client's progress, and how to develop a strong coaching presence.

Methodology

You participate in the Fast Track Coach training program by attending 30 two-hour tele-class sessions conducted by Sussman and Kutner. During these sessions, Kutner and Sussman guide you through the 11 ICF principles and also give you remote training on how to "coach" a test client. Once you've completed the sessions and test-coach client analysis, you then apply to take the ICF Associate Certified Coach certification test, according to the company's website.

Considerations

After you complete the Fast Track Coach training program and receive your ICF ACC certification, with experience you can also receive ICF's Professional Certified Coach and Master Certified Coach accreditations. You can also join ICF and receive ongoing continuing education credits from the organization throughout your professional life coach career, says ICF.
