Omron is a company based in Kyoto, Japan that markets many products, including health-related products. Omron sells blood pressure monitors, body fat monitors, ear thermometers, scales and pedometers. A pedometer is a valuable tool to help you measure the steps you take in a day. You can use a pedometer for fitness or just to get a gauge of your general activity level. Following some basic troubleshooting tips will keep your Omron pedometer running when you need it.

Step 1

Replace the battery for your pedometer if the battery symbol is flashing on the display. This signifies the battery is low.

Step 2

Reposition the battery inside the pedometer if it is not in correctly or replace it entirely if you see no information in the display window.

Step 3

Change the settings on the display to the proper values and try to walk or run in a more consistent pattern and gait if you see incorrect values in your display window as you exercise.

Step 4

Press the "System Reset" button on the pedometer if the content in your window is wrong and no other methods you have tried seem to work. Enter your information again from scratch.
