The nature of trampolines is to provide fun for the family as well as exercise. It might appear that jumping up and down is the only activity you can perform on a trampoline. But there are games you can play at home to keep this piece of equipment fun and entertaining.
Break the Egg
One player must volunteer to be the egg. She sits in the middle of the trampoline with her knees tucked tightly to her chest and arms around her legs. The other players jump around the egg, attempting to break her grip on her legs, or break the shell. The other players cannot physically touch the egg. They can only jump as hard as possible. Once the egg lets go of her legs, the shell has been broken and another person becomes the egg.
Avoid the Rope
One player takes a jump rope or any lengthy piece of fabric and it becomes the object that all other players must avoid touching. The player with the rope is on the ground holding one end and moving the rest around on top of the trampoline. Players must jump to avoid touching the rope, and once touched, they are disqualified. This continues until all players on the trampoline but one have been disqualified.
Hot Potato
Every player must stand in the middle of the trampoline in a circle. One player is given the ball, which is the hot potato. All players must jump up and down and the player with the ball throws it to another player in the circle. Anytime a player drops the hot potato, he is eliminated. This game goes on until there is one player who has not dropped the ball.
Add a Trick
This is a game where all players must have equal levels of skill on the trampoline. Everyone sits on the trampoline pad and the first player goes to the middle and performs a trick. He sits down and the next player must mimic the same trick and invent his own. The next player mimics the second player's trick and then does his own. This continues until all players have had a turn. There are no winners in this game. Make sure the tricks can be performed by all players to avoid injuries.
