The stomach area is one of the most common places for fat to accumulate on the human body. It's also one of the most difficult places from which to lose weight. However, you can see speedy results in a matter of days just by changing a few of your dietary and fitness habits.
Step 1
Cut out junk food from your diet. Snacks like chips, cookies and candy are filled with fat and sugar, and settle on your stomach in the form of fat. To help cut the pounds from your midsection fast, throw out all your junk food to eliminate the snacking temptation.
Step 2
Drink plenty of water. Having at least eight 8-oz. glasses of water a day ensures your digestive system is functioning at top speed, and that fat is flushed from your system efficiently. Keeping hydrated has the added benefit of keeping your liver healthy, which largely controls your metabolism.
Step 3
Go for a jog first thing in the morning. By getting your heart rate up early in the day, you ensure all of that effort goes to actually burning stored calories and fat, rather than calories from food you've just eaten.
Step 4
Eat a balanced breakfast. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and helps to start up your metabolism for the day. Eating in the morning helps you feel nourished and energized until lunchtime so you won't overeat later on in the day.
Step 5
Quit drinking alcohol. Alcoholic beverages cause your body to hold onto water, which can give your stomach a bloated appearance. To flatten your stomach in just a few days, quit drinking alcohol, and you will lose that water weight.
Step 6
Get enough sleep. At least 7 or 8 hours of sleep is what most people require. Getting enough sleep ensures you have enough energy to get through the day, to exercise and for your metabolism to work as well as it can. This is essential for quick abdominal weight loss.
