Almost every fitness club offers a variety of indoor cycling classes led by certified instructors. While there are many classes to choose from, one of the most well known is the Cycle Reebok class. Reebok indoor cycling training was designed to introduce the proper techniques and tools needed to create a Cycle Reebok ride that is safe for all cycling levels. According to Fitness Presenters, the program includes motivational techniques that use sports psychology, exercise physiology and bio-mechanics. Although the official Reebok University no longer exists, you can still find Cycle Reebok training tools to enhance your cycling skills, including DVDs, CDs and classes taught by Cycle Reebok certified instructors.
Cycle Reebok Foundations and Interval Training DVD
The Cycle Reebok Foundations and Interval Training DVD is a 45 minute ride led by Robert Sherman and produced in cooperation with the esteemed American College of Sports Medicine. The DVD teaches specific techniques for integrating interval training into your cycling class and covers advantages and variables, four key elements, the three energy systems, planning your interval-training classes and sample applications. This interval training course is designed to teach you skills such as endurance, leg speed, strength and power and will help you learn cycling science and how to maximize class time and heart rate monitor use.
Cycle Reebok Interval Training DVD
Cycle Reebok Interval Training is a 38 minute DVD led by Lenita Anthony that presents effective guidelines for indoor-cycling instructors that will allow you to take your cycling class to the next level by integrating interval-training techniques. The four key elements of a balanced and effective cycling training program and methods for using these elements to achieve both health-related and performance-related goals are explained. The DVD also explains the scientific basis for interval training and offers specific suggestions and techniques for incorporating interval training into your cycling classes.
Cycle Reebok Foundation Training DVDs
The Cycle Reebok Foundation Training DVDs are a two part series taught by Lenita Anthony, that are specifically designed to give you an understanding of how to teach safe and effective indoor cycling workouts for all riding levels. These DVDs go over the motivational guidelines, bio-mechanics, physiology, sports psychology, and methods of the Cycle Reebok training program and how to apply the information to create an exciting, motivating, and effective workout. The DVD also includes a review of the seven foundational riding techniques, tips on how to prevent common cycling injuries, and an in-depth look at the leadership skills you need to be a successful cycling instructor.
Cycle Reebok Performance Plus DVD
Cycle Reebok Performance Plus is a 41 minute DVD starring Lenita Anthony. It reviews the four main interval components of an indoor-cycling class and explains how to apply them in a step-by-step system of pre-planned workouts that will help you to take your students beyond their current fitness levels. This DVD also shows instructors how to individualize cycling workouts to three distinct fitness levels.
Cycle Reebok Rhythm Ride CD
The Cycle Reebok Rhythm Ride is made up of two CDs featuring songs chosen by Cycle Reebok's Glenn Phillipson and Donna Cyrus. This music mix combines popular songs with ethereal instrumental songs that are great for indoor cycling classes.
