The best things in life truly are free. Fitness is so much simpler than it usually appears. You can achieve and maintain weight loss without costly gym memberships or even private coaching sessions as long as you are able to fuel the fire of your own motivation and interest. In truth, if you can achieve weight loss at home or in your own neighborhood using these free, effective techniques, you are destined for success in all areas of your life. Step 1
Write down the caloric values of the foods you eat for three days. This will give you an idea of the number of calories you regularly consume. Without purchasing or subscribing to any special diet plans, you can find caloric values online for the foods you currently eat.
Step 2
Reduce your daily caloric intake by 500 to 700 calories. Once you've discovered the average of your daily intake, you can make adjustments to stimulate weight loss. The greater the reduction, the greater the weight loss results. However, you should never consume less than 1,200 calories per day. This is considered clinical starvation and will not produce healthy or lasting weight loss.
Step 3

Take the time to sit, set and re-affirm your intentions daily. Intention is a powerful focal point to direct your will. If you allow yourself five minutes every day to be still and focus on your intention for weight loss, greater health or vitality, you'll see increased speed and effectiveness in your endeavors.
