Proform Vs. Gold's Gym Treadmills

ProForm and Gold's Gym treadmills are both manufactured by Icon Health and Fitness, the largest fitness equipment manufacturer in the world. Icon also makes NordicTrack, Reebok and Weslo brands, among others. ProForm and Gold's Gym treadmills are very similar, although ProForm machines are more advanced and offer more features. According to Treadmill-ratings-reviews.com, Gold's Gym machines are relabeled models from other Icon brands.

Design

ProForm and Gold's Gym each have only a few treadmill models that are not fold-away machines. Of the fold-away machines, several of the ProForm models offer an easy lift assist. This is a power shock system that assists you in lifting the deck to the vertical, storage position. None of the Gold's Gym treadmills offer this feature.

With this technology, you can connect your treadmill wirelessly to the internet and download workout programs. Two Gold's Gym treadmills offer iFit workout card technology. You purchase workout cards separately and insert them into the console. The cards contain two programs with a virtual personal trainer guiding you through every step of the workout.
