Problems With Bodybugg

The Bodybugg system tracks the daily amount of calories consumed as well as burned to assist with accurate weight loss management. It works along with a computer program to provide detailed information on your progress. It's both PC and Mac compatible and runs on a rechargeable battery. Some problems you will encounter when using the Bodybugg will involve technical issues or the armband's operation. You can likely resolve some problems on your own before needing to contact Bodybugg for assistance.

Bodybugg Problems

Since Bodybugg is used in conjunction with a web-based program, you may experience technical issues in regards to the software, setting up your Bodybugg account, uploading information, using specific browsers or retaining data when transferring it from the Bodybugg armband to your computer. Other issues specific to using the Bodybugg system by itself include the armband beeping constantly or not responding. Some users may experience redness or irritation when wearing the armband.

Resolving Bodybugg Problems

To resolve some of your Bodybugg problems on your own, follow the technical and operational guidelines set forth by the manufacturer. Use a supported browser type: Internet Explorer or 32-bit mode Safari. Install an updated version of Java. Press the status button if the armband doesn't appear to respond. The battery or memory lights should flash to indicate if the memory is full or the battery needs replacing. The armband may not respond if the battery is dead; in this case, proceed with replacing the battery. If you experience redness or itchiness, discontinue wearing the armband for a few days to give the irritation time to clear up; it's most likely caused by heat and moisture buildup. If it continues to occur, consult with your physician for possible allergy causes.

Problem Prevention

To keep your Bodybugg operating properly, wear it with the logo faced upwards towards the shoulder and the sensors in contact with your skin. Wear it for no more than 23 hours each day; give it at least 1 hour of rest each day. Wipe the armband with a cloth moistened with water and a mild soap to remove sweat or dirt. Remove excess soap with a cloth moistened with plain water. Wipe dry and allow to dry thoroughly before wearing again.
