The Fruit Flush Diet is a type of eating plan that promises quick weight loss through the regular consumption of fruit. The Fruit Flush Diet is meant to help improve your digestive system as well as optimize the body's fat burning capabilities. The eating plan is dictated in the "Fruit Flush 3-Day Detox," a book by trainer and nutritionist Jay Robb. Since this diet is very low in calories, you'll consume approximately 900 to 1000 calories daily, you should first speak to your doctor before starting it.
Step 1
Use a protein powder drink mix on the first day of the Fruit Flush Diet. Every two hours between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., you'll have a 6 oz. serving of a protein drink. At each serving, you'll also consume an 8 oz. glass of water.
Step 2
Eat a dinner made up of mostly raw veggies. You will have a salad for dinner on the first day as well as a single serving of lean protein, like fish, egg whites, chicken or turkey. You can season the dinner with a small amount of olive oil and lemon.
Step 3
Consume a single serving of fresh fruit every two hours. For day two and three of the Fruit Flush Diet, you'll have a single serving of fruit every two hours between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. All types of fruit, including berries, apples, bananas, pears, melon, honeydew, oranges, grapefruit and kiwi, are permitted. A glass of water is permitted with each fruit serving.
Step 4
Prepare the same dinner for days two and three. On these two days, you'll again have a dinner prepared from raw vegetables and a single serving of lean protein. Besides olive oil, flaxseed oil can also be used for seasoning.
Step 5
End the diet after three days. This diet is meant to help a person lose weight quickly and is not recommended for long-term use.
