Oatmeal Crisp cereal, a product of General Mills, Inc., contains crunchy flakes with slivers of almonds and oat clusters. This cereal stays crispy in milk, possibly because of the whole oats ingredients. While the Dietary Guidelines for Americans calls for 3 oz. or more of whole-grain products per day, the balance of your dietary fiber can come from enriched or other whole-grain products.

One serving of Oatmeal Crisp Almond cereal equals 1 cup, or 60 g, with eight servings per 17 oz., or 481 g box. General Mills makes two varieties of this cereal, Oatmeal Crisp Crunchy Almond and Oatmeal Crisp Hearty Raisin.

One serving of Oatmeal Crisp Crunchy Almond cereal has 240 calories, 4 g of fat, 125 mg of sodium, 190 mg of potassium, 47 g of carbohydrates, with 5 g of dietary fiber, 16 g of sugars, 25 g of other carbohydrates and 6 g of protein. One serving of Oatmeal Crisp Hearty Raisin has 240 calories, 2.5 g of fat, 120 mg of sodium, 210 mg of potassium, 51 g of carbohydrates, 5 g of dietary fiber, 20 g of sugars, 26 g of other carbohydrates and 5 g of protein.

Vitamins and Minerals

One serving of Oatmeal Crisp cereal provides 2 percent daily value of calcium, 4 percent of riboflavin, 6 percent of thiamin, 10 percent of folic acid, pantothenic acid, phosphorus and magnesium, 20 percent of niacin and vitamin B6 and 50 percent daily value of iron. According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, intake levels of calcium, potassium, fiber, magnesium and vitamins A, C and E may be a concern for adults, and calcium, potassium, fiber, magnesium and vitamin E may be a concern for children and teens. The American diet may not be providing enough of these nutrients.

Oatmeal Crisp Crunchy Almond cereal contains whole grain oats, whole grain wheat, brown sugar, sugar, almond pieces, corn syrup, salt, oat flour, rice flour, honey, canola oil, cinnamon, baking soda, natural and artificial flavor, color, vitamin E and BHT added to preserve freshness. Oatmeal Crisp is fortified with 10 essential vitamins and minerals.

Sugars

The sugar content in Oatmeal Crisp Crunchy Almond is 16 g, while Oatmeal Crisp Hearty Raisin has 20 g of sugar. According to Dietary Guidelines for Americans, distributed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, names for added sugars that you might find on food labels include brown sugar, corn syrup and honey, all included in Oatmeal Crisp. Additional names that you might see include invert sugar, dextrose, fructose, glucose, malt syrup, sucrose and high fructose corn syrup to name a few.
