The Ab Swing machine is a popular workout device that was sold at As Seen on TV. Currently, it is sold on Amazon.com. The machine allows you to define your abdominal muscles by crunching them from the lower abs towards the upper abs. According to a San Diego study stated on The Diet Channel, regular home crunches are more effective than this machine. However, many buyers have bought it, and it was even endorsed by Hunter Tylo, a famous model. It's up to you to decide whether the Ab Swing works for you. Even if it's not featured on As Seen on TV, there are still other outlets that sell these machines.

How It Works

The Ab Swing Machine builds ab muscle strength by contracting your ab muscles from the lower abs, building upward to your obliques, and finally toward your upper abs. This patented technology called "Swing Glide," works your abs from the bottom up. It assists in your crunches by allowing you to do them in a slightly upright position, and enables you to glide smoothly as you do your crunches.

Usage

To use the Ab Swing, you need to be in an upright position, sitting on the seat pad and resting your foot on the foot rest. You start by lifting your legs and feet up, and pulsing for a few counts just like you would when you're doing regular sit-up crunches. Make sure that while you're doing this, your feet are off the ground so that the machine can work your ab muscles instead of your legs.

Components

It has many different components, including a seat pad to support your upper back, handles with grip to avoid slipping, adjustable bars as well as a footrest. Since the machine supports areas in your body that a regular crunch cannot, the AB Swing machine may help you prevent injury. The machine includes a video, a workout program and eating program, as well as a users manual.

Benefits

The Ab Swing machine is easy to use and requires minimal workout commitment. Its website boasts a workout that you can do in just five minutes a day. Another benefit of the Ab Swing Machine is its portability; it's easy to fold for storage or to transport to another part of the house. The Ab Swing should supplement a healthy eating and exercise program, not a replacement for these, to stay healthy and fit.
