Certain grocery and health food store products blend well together to create affordable and effective exfoliating facial and body scrubs. Exfoliation removes the outer layer of dead, flaky skin, exposing brand-new skin underneath. Always exfoliate with water, never on completely dry skin. Wetting the skin prior to exfoliating protects the skin, especially the more sensitive facial skin. Aim to exfoliate your face twice a week and your entire body once a week. Apply body scrubs in the shower prior to shaving your legs.
Step 1
Mix 1 cup of brown sugar with 1 cup of instant oatmeal. Add 1 cup of olive oil to create a paste. Use circular motions to apply the paste to your skin. Shower to rinse the scrub from your body.
Step 2
Add enough vitamin E oil to 1 cup of sugar to create a paste. Apply the paste all over the face and body in the shower using a circular motion.
Step 3
Mix together 1 cup of table salt, 1 tsp. fresh shredded ginger with enough jojoba oil to make a paste. Rub the paste over the body in a circular motion. Shower to rinse.
Step 4
Measure 1 cup of ground coffee, 1/2 cup grape seed oil, 1 tsp. ginseng, 1 tbsp. bentonite powder and 1 tbsp. baking soda. Mix all the ingredients together and spread over the entire face and body using circular motions.
Step 5
Make a paste with 2 tbsp. instant oatmeal, 1 tbsp. baking soda and warm water. Apply to the face in circular motions for one to two minutes. Increase the oatmeal to 1 cup and the baking soda to 1/2 cup to produce enough paste to use over the entire body.
Step 6
Separate 1 egg yolk from the egg white. Add the yolk to 1 tbsp. instant oatmeal and 1 tsp. warm water. Massage over your entire face and throat for one to two minutes and rinse with warm water. Increase the instant oatmeal to 1 cup, the warm water to 5 1/2 tbsp. and add 8 egg yolks to use over your body.
Step 7
Separate 1 egg white from the egg yolk. Add the egg white to 1/2 cup cream of wheat and 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Rub over the body and face. Shower to rinse the scrub off your body.
