Super Swing Golf is a video game used for fun and to get you up and moving to improve your gold swing. With high-definition graphics, Super Swing Golf is a revamped version of another video game known as Pangya Golf, according to IGN's website. With a second version on the market, Super Swing Golf has officially joined the gaming revolution.
Launch
Super Swing Golf was launched in 2006 by the Nintendo company for use with their new gaming system, the Wii. The game offers a variety of scenes, including islands, pyramids and plains in attempt to serve up an in home alternative to put put. In 2007, Nintendo launched their Super Swing Gold Season 2, boasting improved handling, better character meshing and more advanced playing options than its predecessor.
Play
Playing Super Swing Golf is relatively simple, as it is designed to simulate a real golf game. Wii comes equipped with controllers that sense motion and act accordingly. To play Super Swing Golf, the player stands in position and, holding the "A" button, lines up his shot on the screen with his controller and the virtually simulated club. Once the shot is aligned, the player simply swings the controller in a golf swing motion to make the shot. According to IGN, a backshot can be simulated with a simple twist of the wrist during the shot.
Playing Modes
Super Swing Golf provides three playing modes: story mode, free mode and challenge mode. Story mode follows a storyline based on each individual character. Free mode refers to play that follows no set storyline and allows you to warm up before starting any of your regular gaming modes. Challenge mode allows you to play the computer to test your skill level and rankings. Also available is the battle mode for multiplayer action with your friends and family. This pits you against other players in a stimulating free-for-all game.
Graphics
The 2006 release of Super Swing Golf left some skeptics baffled at the low visual quality, leading reviews to be not so nice in this department. Super Swing Golf Season 2 proved that Nintendo could not only become a leader in graphic design, but also appeal to the customers' senses. With high-definition 3D animation, players get a sense of being on the golf course instead of the living room. According to Game Revolution, not only did 3D graphics improve but so did the character textures, lending to better personalization.
