2. Coffee for Athletes
Caffeine intake in general can greatly increase athletic performance and endurance. Until recently, the Olympics committee considered caffeine a controlled substance. Since coffee has so much caffeine, it can be used as a tool to stimulate the brain and nervous system. Coffee signals the brain to ignore fatigue and causes muscles to produce a bigger contraction, getting more power from them.
3. Drink Coffee, Be Happy
Starting every morning with a cup of hot coffee can increase mood as well. It does this both on a short-term and long-term basis. Coffee boosts moods on the short-term in the obvious way; it gives a quick boost of energy. Drinking coffee regularly improves mood overtime by releasing happy chemicals, such as dopamine, in the brain systematically. Coffee drinking also improves mood even on the psychological level. When you feel more energized, you get more done, which gives a greater level of satisfaction and accomplishment. Coffee addiction can reduce moods over time though, so beware.
4. Pop a Pill With Coffee
Caffeine is actually a common ingredient in most of the widely-used over the counter pain killers, like Excedrin and Midol. Drinking coffee can double the effectiveness of pain killers. It also helps the body absorb pain killers faster, which brings on relief much quicker. Drink coffee everyday and it can reduce headaches in the future and decrease the amount of medicine needed to effectively reduce the pain.
5. Fight Tooth Decay With Coffee
Coffee beans have antibacterial characteristics that fight microorganisms that often find their way to teeth. Having coffee residue on the teeth from regular drinking can prevent the placement of bacteria on tooth enamel, thus reducing the risk of cavities. Coffee brewed from fresh roasted beans has the most antibacterial qualities. Begin everyday with a cup of coffee to prevent unwanted tooth decay.
