The colon is an important part of the digestive system, absorbing and extracting water from solid waste and moving it to the rectum for elimination. When people overeat or don't eliminate waste often, feces will be stagnant and begin to back up the colon. The colon can have many pounds of waste under these conditions. This also holds toxins in the body and begins to poison the system. For these reasons, it is a good idea to occasionally flush out the colon. There are a number of ways and products to flush out the colon, but the cheapest way would be to use sea or unrefined salt and purified water. The two ingredients should not cost more than a few dollars. The salt and water mixture do not separate ad cannot be picked up by the blood or kidneys, so the mixture just travels through the colon, flushing waste in the process.
Step 1
Pick a day free of work or chores, at least for the morning, when the cleanse should be performed. The whole process can take several hours. The first elimination will begin around an hour after ingestion of the mixture, but you may feel like going to the bathroom repeatedly for some time after.
Step 2
Purchase sea salt or unrefined mineral salt and a gallon of purified water from a natural or health food store. Products purchased from these types of stores will have few to no unwanted chemicals or additives.
Step 3
Add 2 tsp. of salt to 32 oz. of water and mix thoroughly and consume as quickly as possible on an empty stomach. Bowel movements will begin within one to two hours and may last just as long, though this varies from person to person.
