Mother nature provides all the components for living a healthy life with an ideal body weight by providing fresh, nutrient-rich foods and challenging landscapes that provide you with ample exercise opportunities. With the right healthy, natural diet and lifestyle you can increase your potential to eat more and weigh less. Foods from mother nature include those that are unprocessed and grown from the soil and creatures. Some define natural foods as organic food, which is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, genetic modification along with creatures that are not subjected to hormones and antibiotic treatments and genetic engineering.

Step 1

Focus your diet on low-calorie, natural foods like vegetables, which are low in sugar and fat but high in vitamins and minerals. Eat a variety of differently colored vegetables and fruits. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explain that each color of vegetable and fruit corresponds to different groups of vitamins and minerals. You can fill your plate with raw vegetables, which will help you avoid fatty, high-calorie foods and make you feel energetic and satisfied, especially if you add a lean protein. A vegetarian or vegan diet can provide you with all the vitamins, minerals and proteins your body needs for health, if it is well balanced; plus, a vegetarian diet is low in fat and prevents obesity, especially if you eat less calories than you burn. Eat nuts, whole grains, seeds, lentils or organic soybeans or soy products like tempeh if you prefer a non-meat diet. If you eat meat, select those that are lean and grill or sear them.

Step 2

Eat whole grains breads and pasta, instead of white, refined bread and pasta. Read the ingredient label on your food to make sure it states whole grain instead of enriched wheat. Another option is to eat sprouted bread, which is even more nutrient dense and higher in protein, which is important to help replace your fat with muscles that burn calories quickly. Instead of white rice, eat brown rice, quinoa or, better yet, sprouted quinoa, which offers three times the amount of protein as cooked quinoa--24 g per cup.

Step 3

Climb a tree. Find a tree that is easy to climb. The resistance of your weight can build muscles throughout your body, while connecting you directly with mother nature. Be careful not to climb too high your first time, because getting down may be more of a challenge. Climb with a buddy for additional safety.

Step 4

Go for a fast hike. Raise your heart rate for a minimum of 20 minutes each day to the point that you are breathing so heavily that holding a conversation becomes difficult. Enjoying all the beautiful views can help take your mind off of a rigorous workout.
