Sprouted English muffins are similar to regular English muffins with the exception of the use of sprouted grains. According to Food For Life, sprouting helps enhance the vitamin and mineral content of grains. In addition, sprouted grains are not milled, which can lead to some nutrient loss.

Calorie Content

Sprouted English muffins contain 160 calories each. This amount of calories is 8 percent of the daily recommended intake of 2,000 calories. One sprouted English muffin contains slightly more calories than a regular English muffin, which contains 120 calories.

Carbohydrate Content

Most of the calories in sprouted English muffins come from carbohydrates. Each sprouted English muffin provides 30 g of carbohydrates. Of these carbohydrates, 6 g come from fiber. Regular English muffins are lower in carbohydrates, with 25 g, but contain only 1 g of fiber.

Fat Content

Sprouted English muffins are low in fat, with 2 g of fat per muffin. None of this fat comes from saturated or trans fat, which are considered unhealthy.

Protein Content

Sprouted English muffins contain 8 g of protein, which is the same amount you'd find in 8 oz. of skim milk. Protein is necessary for building your body's tissues, such as skin and muscle.
