Made from simple ingredients like whole wheat and salt, Triscuits offer a whole-grain alternative to potato chips and other high fat snacks. Nabisco manufactures many varieties of Triscuits, including original, garden herb and fire roasted tomato. They also make Triscuits with reduced fat and reduced salt for those on restrictive diets.

Calories

According to Nabisco, a serving of Original Triscuits, which is 28 g or about 7 crackers, provides 120 calories, or 6 percent of a 2,000-calorie diet. A serving of Reduced Fat Triscuits also provides 120 calories.

Fat

Nabisco states that a serving of Triscuits contains 4.5 g of total fat. Of this, 1 gram is saturated fat. This makes up about 7 percent of your daily recommended fat intake and 5 percent of your daily saturated fat intake. The American Heart Association recommends keeping saturated fat intake at less than 7 percent of your daily calories to help decrease your risk of heart disease.

Carbohydrates

There are 19 g of carbohydrates in a serving of Originial Triscuits. Dietary fiber makes up about 3 of the 19 g of carbohydrates. A serving of Triscuits can help meet about 12 percent of your daily recommended fiber intake. Fiber from whole-grain foods, such as Triscuits, can help reduce cholesterol levels and lower risk of heart disease. Dietary fiber can help with digestion and make you feel more full longer, which may help with weight control.

Ingredients

Original Triscuits are made with only three ingredients, according to Nabisco: whole soft white winter wheat, soybean and/or palm oil and salt. In addition to Original and Reduced Fat Triscuits, Nabisco also offers seven other varieties of the whole grain crackers: Hint of Salt, Rosemary and Olive Oil, Cracked Pepper and Olive Oil, Fire Roasted Tomato, Deli Style Rye, Garden Herb, and Roasted Garlic. Every flavor of Triscuits contains 120 to 140 calories, 4 to 5 g of fat, and 3 g of fiber per serving.
