Weider SX1 Stepper Electronic Monitor Operation Guide

The Weider SX1 refers to the Weider LS SX1, or the Lifestyler SX1 aerobic stepper. This is a discontinued Weider stepper that is no longer available new. The SX1 includes a basic, battery-powered console that provides feedback about your workout. Choose one of five modes in which to display your workout information.

Scan Mode

Press any of the five buttons below the display to turn on the monitor. Press the "Mode" button once to enter scan mode. You do not have to enter any other settings in the scan mode. The display automatically cycles through the count, which is the number of steps taken, the timer, tempo and calories.

Count Mode

You can set the count function to count up or down. Count up accumulates the number of steps taken from zero. Count down counts backwards from a pre-set goal number of steps. Press the "Mode" button twice to enter the count mode. Press the "Reset" button to activate the count-up mode. Press the arrow up or down to select your step goal for the count-down mode. Begin exercising to start the counter.

Timer

The timer can be set to count-up from zero or to countdown from a pre-set goal time. Press the "Mode" button three times to enter the timer mode. Press the "Reset" button to activate the count-up function or use the arrow keys to select your time goal to count-down from. Press the "Start/Stop" button to start the timer.

Tempo Mode

The tempo measures the pace of your steps. When set to zero in tempo mode, the monitor beeps each time you step. To use as a pacer for your workout, adjust the rate of beep from .125 to 9.875 seconds. Press the "Mode" button four times to enter the tempo mode. Press the "Reset" button to turn on the pacer beep signal or use the arrow keys to select your desired pacer time. Start exercising to activate the standard beep signal. Press the "Start/Stop" button to activate the pacer mode.

Calorie Mode

The monitor estimates the number of calories you have burned based on the speed and total time of the workout. Press the "Mode" button five times to enter the calorie mode. Press the "Reset" button to reset the data to zero. Begin exercising to activate the calorie counter.
