How to Use Bentonite for Healing

Bentonite is a highly absorbent clay rich in calcium and potassium, according to Perry A. Arledge, author of "Living Clay: Nature's Own Miracle Cure." The clay is used as an oil-absorbing agent in cosmetic applications, such as facial masks, but can also be taken internally as a healing agent to rid the body of toxins. Consult your physician before taking bentonite.

Step 1

Measure 2 oz. of bentonite clay onto a kitchen scale. Do this at the beginning of each day.

Step 2

Transfer the clay to the air-tight container. Use a spoon or your fingers to break up any chunks.

Step 3

Add 1 tsp. of the clay to an 8-oz. glass of water. Do this before each meal. Drink the water before eating.

Step 4

Continue drinking the clay water throughout the day. Drink it until you have used up all the clay in the container.

Step 5

Repeat the regimen for the next two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, consume 1 oz. of bentonite clay per day.
