Nearly every woman desires attractive legs, whether you're looking to wear a new pair of short shorts, to tone up for your wedding day or to build muscle. Tone your thighs and calves with these workouts, and you will be confident to display your legs to the world.
Sexy Shorts Workout
Wearing short shorts allows you to flaunt your great legs. These nine moves put together by Fitness Magazine can help you tone your legs. For this workout, you will perform different variations of the squat, lunge, plie and donkey kick. You will want to perform 15 reps of each exercise and switch legs on donkey kicks and lunge exercises. Begin the workout with a pile squat, and then move onto the donkey kick, curtsy lunge, tiptoe plie squat, donkey kick crossover and curtsy lunge with lift. The advanced moves consist of plie squat with frog jump, donkey sidekick and curtsy lunge with roundhouse.
Buff Brides Workout
On your wedding day, you want to look dynamite: this means toning your thighs and calves. The buff brides workout from Fitness Magazine will allow you to shape up your legs for your form-fitting wedding dress. The first exercise in this workout is the inner and outer thigh toner, which focuses specifically on your thigh muscles. Another exercise, the leg shaper, helps you tone your thighs for the moment when your husband removes your garter belt. The cardio portion of this workout includes 20 minutes of walking outside or indoors.
Sexy Stem Workout
The sexy stem workout from Marie Claire magazine focuses on sculpting the muscles in your thighs and calves. It includes five exercises. The first exercise is a leg lift; you should perform this exercise for three sets as many times as possible. The more lifts you do, the shapelier your legs become. Next, add a donkey kick to your workout; be sure to perform 10-15 reps for three sets. Then add more leg lifts to fully work your inner thighs. Finally, to work your calves, include calf raises and leg bends for a full 100 seconds each.
Building Muscle
A combination of exercises can help women build muscle and tone the thighs and calves. Leg training can be hard on you. It requires stamina and perseverance, but in the end it pays off and provides you with beautiful legs. The two best exercises for the lower half, according to the Exercise Goals website, are squats and lunges. For a full thighs and calves workout, however, you should also include leg presses, leg curls, calf raises and hamstring exercises.
