How to Lose Weight With a Good Diet & Exercise

Diet and exercise are the most reliable and healthy ways to lose weight and keep it off. There is no magic formula, and diet and exercise must be approached as a necessary lifestyle change. By changing your current diet to foods that contain vitamins and minerals as well as nutrients such as dietary fiber in place of refined junk foods, your LDL cholesterol will lower, the risk of type 2 diabetes will decrease and certain cancers and other diseases will become less likely. Moderate exercise will strengthen your muscles as well as your internal organs, such as your lungs and heart. Exercise also increases circulation throughout your body to help it function properly.

Tips and Warnings

  • The skin of the sweet potato should be eaten as well to increase fiber intake and give the body other important nutrients. When beginning physical activity, listen to your body and remember to make a goal to work up to. Do not try to meet it on the first day.
  • Consult a doctor before beginning any diet and exercise program.
