Online workout and fitness programs are convenient, easy to use and reasonably priced. However, using an online workout program does require a certain level of self-motivation and computer literacy. A variety of programs are available, so it is best to determine what your personal fitness needs are before purchasing a program or membership.

My Yoga Online

For less than $10 a month, you can get access to all the yoga videos offered on MyYogaOnline.com, as of 2011. Yoga DVDs are also available to download for an additional fee; members receive 20 percent off. The membership fee includes a biweekly newsletter, personal diary, a listing section for yoga teachers and studio owners, and the ability to ask an expert your questions. Once you become a member, no ads will appear on the website.

Train with Me Online

A membership with TrainWithMeOnline.com includes exercises with instructions and pictures, workout videos, workout and training plans, and a workout journal. The program has a feature that allows you to track body fat, body mass, flexibility, cardiovascular health, strength and waist-to-hip ratio. The tracking system begins with a few tests to determine your current level of fitness. The monthly membership includes someone you can communicate with regarding questions about the program.

Changing Shape

The online fitness program at ChangingShape.com includes a fitness program, a daily nutrition plan, a customized workout routine, home workout routines, and weight loss calculators. The monthly membership fee includes a virtual personal trainer who helps you set goals, customizes your fitness plan, and gives you weekly assignments. The system is basic and easy to navigate through. The membership also includes health- and fitness-related articles.

ACE Free Workouts

The American Council on Exercise has free online fitness programs. You can view sample workouts and routines including core, hip, thigh, chest, back, and arm workouts. The site also has a 12-week kick-start fitness program, an at-home fitness routine that doesn't require any equipment, and a 30-minute lunch time workout. if you're self-motivated and short on cash, this program might appeal to you.
