Weight Watchers has a diet system that assigns points to given portions of many foods. When using the Weight Watchers point system, you will work with a Weight Watchers employee to determine your ideal number of points. Then, you will keep track of the points of all foods you eat in a day. When you have reached your point limit for the day, you are done eating. This system makes dieting more flexible than some other diet plans. Before starting Weight Watchers or any other diet plan, consult your doctor.

Pork Fried Rice

A serving of pork fried rice has 10 Weight Watchers points, reports Exercise 4 Weight Loss. One serving is considered 8-oz of rice. Keep in mind that adding extras to pork fried rice, such as sauces, may change the point value of your meal.

Nutritional Information

Each serving of pork fried rice contains 406 calories, 20 g of fat and 14 g of protein. Pork fried rice is relatively high in fat, so if you consume it, make sure to adjust the rest of your diet for the day accordingly.

Fat Guidelines

According to Penn Medicine, healthy adults should consume no more than 30 percent of their total caloric intake from fat. For example, this would mean that if you are aiming for a 2,000-calorie per-day diet, you should have no more than 65 grams of fat in a day. One serving of pork fried rice is nearly 1/3 of your total daily fat allowance.

Overall Diet

Weight Watchers assigns lower point numbers to foods such as fruits and vegetables, explains Peer Trainer. This means you can consume more of these foods without going over your daily point budget. Consider cutting your portion of pork fried rice and adding more vegetables to your plate to assist you in your weight loss goals.
