Impex Olympic offers a variety of strength training equipment, including all-in-one home gym systems. These systems allow you to complete a full-body strength training workout without going to a gym. There are some tips that will help you maximize your workouts and results when working out on the Impex Olympic home gym.

Major Muscle Groups

It's important that during each workout, you develop all of the major muscle groups including the chest, shoulders, back, biceps, triceps, glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, calves and abdominals. The Impex Olympic home gyms allow you to complete a variety of strength training exercises, including chest press and chest fly for the chest, shoulder press and upright rows for the shoulders, lat pulldown for the back, bicep curls for the biceps, tricep push down for the triceps, hip abduction and extension for the glutes, hamstring curl for the hamstrings and abdominal and oblique crunches for the abdominal area. During each session, complete at least one exercise for each major muscle group.

Appropriate Intensity

The home gym allows you to quickly select the amount of resistance you want. Be sure that you're choosing the appropriate weight for each exercise. If you're trying to complete 10 repetitions of an exercise, choose a weight that causes repetitions eight, nine and 10 to be difficult. It's likely that the level of resistance will vary significantly between exercises. Adjust the weight accordingly so that you appropriately overload your muscle groups to stimulate development.

Rest and Recovery

Only work out on the Impex Olympic home gym every other day. When you complete the exercises appropriately, you overload your muscles and cause minor tears within the muscle fibers. It's during the 48 hour rest period that your muscles heal and adapt with an increase in size and strength. Working out everyday prevents your muscles from recovering.

Variety

Incorporate variety into your workouts on the Impex Olympic home gym system to prevent your muscle groups from becoming accustomed to the stimulus and thus hitting a plateau. You can change the grip on some exercises. For example, during lat pulldown you can use a wide grip or use a narrow grip with either your palms facing away from you or towards you. Sometimes complete leg extension and leg curl using only one leg at a time, which will require each leg to work independently.

Considerations

It's important that you also incorporate cardiovascular training into your fitness regime. The Impex Olympic home gym will allow you to improve your muscle strength and endurance, but to build and maintain cardiorespiratory health and support a healthy body composition, you should get at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise in on most days.
