It seems as though stars and celebrities always have the perfect bodies. They gain and drop weight quickly for roles, get their prepregnancy bodies back mere weeks after having a baby and generally look flawless. While stars may brush off questions about diet and exercise, it takes hard work and dedication to keep their bodies in shape. Stars use entire teams of professionals whose sole jobs rely on ensuring their client looks thin and healthy on the red carpet. Steal some of their healthy diet secrets and leave the fad dieting and fasting to the stars.

Personal Trainer and Exercise

Most popular celebrities and even many of the less popular celebrities work with trainers in order to keep their weight in check and their bodies looking svelte. Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak works with high-profile clients like Milla Jovovich. He led her through weight lifting, core and cardio training for 45 minutes every day in order to get her back in shape after having a baby. She was ready for her bikini-clad appearance in "The Perfect Getaway" four weeks after giving birth, reports "Forbes." Trainers keep stars motivated by making them accountable for their bodies and sticking with them every step of the way. It's a celebrity's full time job to maintain her look, which is why she usually has more time to exercise and concentrate on wight loss.

Diet and Chefs

While a mere mortal may be tempted to snack on fatty comfort foods, a star doesn't have to eat anything that isn't prepared by a personal chef. Eating healthily is easy when chefs and meal delivery services dictate what a star eats each day. While Madonna favors a macrobiotic diet, other stars are vegan, follow strict rules on eating carbs and protein or eat solely from pricey diet meal delivery services. Their fridges can be stocked 24/7 with healthy meals so stars aren't tempted by easy to prepare convenience foods or fast food.

Cleanses

Beyonce Knowles famously undertook the Master Cleanse to drop 20 lbs. in preparation for her role on "Dreamgirls," reports "The New York Times." Juice cleanses, fasting and the Master Cleanse can all be used to drop weight quickly before filming. Unfortunately, cleanses and fasts aren't healthy ways to lose weight and most stars will tell you they gained the weight quickly back. Healthy eating and exercise should be used to lose rate at a healthy pace of about 1 to 2 lbs. per week. Fad diets, fasting and cleanses should be avoided, as they can alter your metabolism and cause yo-yo dieting.

Diet Pills

For every diet pill and supplement, there's a celebrity endorser who claims to use the product and showcase its results. Since diet supplements are not closely regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, it's important that you research the various ingredients to ensure your health and safety. While these pills can seem like they have amazing results, the Ethics Scoreboard website warns that you shouldn't buy into the illusion. In order to lose weight, stars are dieting, exercising and working on their bodies almost every moment of the day. A diet pill alone cannot achieve those results.
