How to Lose Weight in the Summer

Summer is the time for outdoor parties, picnics, family outings and fitting into your bathing suit from last season. If you just made the realization that summer is here, and you are not in the shape you want to be, there is still time to lose weight. You just have to make a few adjustments to your daily eating habits and incorporate some exercise.

Tips and Warnings

  • Cooking on the grill can help keep the fat content down and it can also give your food an added flavor. Prepare chicken breasts, salmon, lean steaks and make skewers with vegetables and shrimp. If you are opposed to going to the gym, you can do exercises at home, such as push-ups, planks, chair dips, squats and lunges. If you have an open beam in your basement, you can do pull-ups. You can also invest in dumbbells and a weight bench to do the exercises in Step 5.
