You may still experience back soreness after pregnancy because your back muscles struggled carrying around all of that extra weight for so long. As your due date draws close, your body begins to produce a hormone called relaxin, which loosens ligaments throughout your entire body---including your back. This can make you more susceptible to back injuries, according to KidsHealth.org.
Belly Band
Wear a belly band to help keep your stomach tucked in and tight while jogging or doing any other activity. A belly band is a firm, elastic piece of material that you can wear around your back and stomach during or after pregnancy. The elastic allows room for movement while it still offers support. It supports your stomach as well as your back.
Girdle
You can wear a soft support garment similar to a girdle or an actual girdle as long as it's not too tight. You may not be able to jog if the garment is too tight or restrictive and if it is too tight, you also increase the risk of cutting off circulation. The girdle should be soft and pliable, as this will allow support and flexibility for jogging and other activities.
Maternity Pants
You can also continue to wear your maternity pants, specifically the ones that have the elastic belly support built into them. They may fit a little loosely after you have your newborn, depending upon your weight loss immediately following childbirth, or they may still fit comfortably for just a few more weeks. If they're too loose, try adding a few stitches in the areas where it's needed the most, as you won't need to wear them once your stomach muscles regain strength.
Considerations
Do not attempt any exercise regimen without clearance from your health care provider. Wearing a supportive bra may also help, as it will alleviate some back pain. Stop exercising if you feel pain or begin to experience bright red vaginal bleeding, especially if it's heavier than a period.
