Putting is an essential element of scoring in golf. The saying "if you can putt, you can play" holds true on all levels of golf. The TaylorMade Imola 8 putter is a premium blade club from the original manufacturer that seeks to help golfers improve their stroke stability and consistency.

Head to Toe

The Taylor Made Imola 8 is a blade-style putter with a heel shaft and head-to-toe weighting. This is a benefit because putts struck off center will have a tendency to correct to the target. The face has TaylorMade's patented groove system that helps reduce skid and drag, and gets the ball rolling true to the target. The hosel also has offset, which presses the hands forward naturally at address, to provide a classic look for a blade model.

Face Matters

TaylorMade put significant research and development into the clubface. The Imola 8 putter face is constructed with stainless steel and a black-nickel finish. There is an insert composed of TaylorMade's thallium, and the grooves are CNC-milled and filled with polymer insert for the softest feel on all types of putts. There are 14 grooves on the face, which are placed from top to bottom for the truest golf ball roll off the putter.

Shaft Options

The TaylorMade Imola 8 putter comes in three different standard lengths -- 33, 34 and 35 inches -- with more available from custom club fitters. With the offset provided on the heel-shafted model, golfers find their hands set naturally ahead of the ball. This helps prevent flipping and leads to a hands-first stroke, which is the proper way to impact the ball. The shafts are steel and the entire putter is rated highly for durability.

Lie and Loft

Lie and loft options are particular and appeal to the most serious golfers. The TaylorMade Imola 8 putter comes standard with a lie of 70 degrees and a loft of 3.5 degrees. This is important for golfers with consistent strokes who are particular about putter head location and feel through impact. The head weight is 11.99 oz and the standard grip is a Coral Snake Medalist. The head is finished in midnight black for a sleek, classic look.
