Trail bike games to play are designed to keep you physically active as well as improve your biking skills on novice trails. While many games can be played on beginner bike trails and in open playgrounds, it is often difficult and dangerous to play games on bike trails with steep terrain. As a result, most bike trail games should be performed on easy trails that have enough space for you to ride freely.
Downhill Trail Race Game
The downhill trail race game is designed to improve your biking speed and turning down a hill. Grab a friend and ride up to the top of an easy bike trail. Have another friend at the bottom of the hill stand at the finish line. On his mark, ride down the hill as fast as you can until you reach the finish line. The first biker to cross the finish line wins. If at any time a biker rides off the trail, he is automatically disqualified from the game.
Toe the Line
The toe trail bike game is a variation of a basic sidewalk biking game. If you are playing this game on a paved trail, take out a piece of chalk and draw several straight chalk lines from the starting line to the finish line. If the trail is a dirt trail, stretch out several long pieces of string from the start and finish line. Have one biker line up at the beginning of each piece of string or chalk and wait for your mark. On your mark, have everyone ride as quickly as possible to the finish line. The first player to finish without riding off the line wins.
Beanie Game
The beanie game tests your balance on your bike as well as your ability to ride in a smooth and consistent style. Set up at the top of a trail with a few friends. Have one friend stand at the bottom of the trail at the finish line. On his mark, ride down the trail with a bean bag on your head. If the bean bag falls off your head while riding, you must stop, get off the bike, place the beanbag back on your head and continue riding. The first player to get down the hill with the beanbag on her head wins.
Time Trial Game
This time trial game is designed to improve your speed on your bike as well as your riding consistency. Have a friend stand at the end of one trail with a stop watch while you ride up to the beginning of the trail. On his mark, ride as quickly as you can to the end of the trail. Write down your time and return to the top of the trail. Have your friend time you three times on the trail, averaging out the times to get your average time. Have your friend race down the trail and average out his times as well. The racer with the best average time wins.
